Kappa Gents

The Kappa Gents is an organization that prepares males from 6th to 8th grade for further education, and to assist them in becoming good societal members. Dedicated to youth and community service, Kappa Gents promotes cultural diversity and provides extensive instruction that encompasses your child’s holistic development.
The Kappa Gents provides participants with classes that focus on character, personality, socialization skills, leadership skills, career readiness, and dining etiquette. Specifically, the classes are focused on:
• Attitude
• Behavior
• Character
• Legal Rights Awareness
• Law Enforcement Etiquette
• Making the Right Choices
• Conflict Resolution

The basic objectives of Kappa Gents may be summarized as follows:
1. Inspire young males to develop an interest in public service
2. To help young males transition from middle school to high school
3. To help define self-image, self-esteem, social skills, and environmental awareness
4. To assist parents in the handling of their young males by giving them opportunities to talk over their problems with those who know and are successful in their chosen vocations
5. To inform youth of the values of higher education, and the value in preparing for higher education early.
Kappa Alpha Psi’s commitment to young people is well established, and our Kappa Gents efforts are a continuation of those efforts
